Adele’s Video Director Gives Incredibly Hipster Response To THAT Flip-Phone Question

Looks like the furore over Adele's Hello music video has gone to the director's head.  We LOVED the song and video, and loved everyone's reactions even more. One question that was on everyone's lips was why on earth a global superstar like Adele was using a flip phone and how she ever expected to get good signal on it. Well, now the director of the video, Xavier Dolan, has spoken out about the issue in an effort to clear things up. Speaking to LA times, the director explained: "It drives me crazy. "I could see the GIFs on Twitter. I'm like 'Guys, get over it. It doesn't matter. "But the real explanation is that I never like filming modern phones or cars. "They're so implanted in our lives that when you see them in movies you're reminded you're in reality. "If you see an iPhone or a Toyota in a movie, they're anti-narrative, they take you out of the story."
