The last time she performed live was at Wembley Stadium in 2017. She was subsequently forced to withdraw from her final two shows at the venue due to vocal chord damage.
The cancellation led many fans to worry that Adele might never sing live again. However, the singer eased some of those fears last year during her stint guest-hosting on Saturday Night Live.
During her opening monologue she explained why she decided to host the show instead of being the musical guest.
"My album's not finished, and I'm also scared to be both," she said. "I'd rather put on some wigs, have a glass of wine or six and just see what happens."
At the time, she hinted that new music was on the way.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote: "I'm going back in my cave now to be the (single) cat lady that I am. Peace out 'til next year."Entertainment
