Monica Michael’s X Factor Announcement Receives Mixed Reaction

Good news for Monica Michael this week as she has snagged the coveted X Factor wildcard slot.  The 24-year-old, who narrowly missed landing a spot in Rita's girls group has been given a second chance to impress on the hit talent show. The wildcard slot, which sees an unsuccessful performer from the previous round return for the live shows, was a hot topic recently with fans taking to social media to speculate as to who would grab the spot. However, the ITV Twitter account confirmed the news that Monica was the lucky lady this week. Soon after, Monica herself took to the site to express her excitement, writing: "Hi guys! I know Halloween is upon us but this is not a trick... I AM BACK!!!! #XtraFactor #WildCard"

  Sure enough, viewers soon took to Twitter to weigh in on the announcement, with most people delighted to see Monica return.
