So, these are the models who turned down being on Love Island

They all know each other…

The popularity of Love Island never ceases to amaze me.

Sure this year there were more applicants to Love Island than there were to Oxford and Cambridge.

Ridiculous.

Anyway, apparently there were a number of models approached for the show, and turned down the offer.

Which kind of leads you to believe that the producers somewhat disregarded applications.

Hmmm….

One lad that turned it down was 23-year-old model Harry Sellers, who claims he was approached by the show three times.

“My modelling agency said it could be good – but it might all go very badly and potentially ruin my career,” he told the Guardian.

London-based model, Dominique Saspin, was also approached, and turned it down.

“It’s a running joke between me and my friends; we’re all wondering who will be next.”

“Most of the people on the show are friends of friends. They’ve clearly approached these people rather than picking people who have applied.”

“My friends all joke about it and say, ‘Okay, next year I’ll do it as a last resort’ if their careers don’t pick up,’” she said.

We’ve already established that Megan Barton Hanson and Alexandra Cane were friends before the show.

And apparently Ellie Brown and Adam Collard are also pals.

It’s all very interesting, isn’t it?
