The Jersey Shore star has been opening up about his history with addiction.
Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino spoke back in 2012 about his struggles with substance abuse and the reality TV star has now revealed that he recently relapsed.
The 34-year-old told People that he is 18 months sober this week after going back to rehab for a second time.
Mike returned to rehab after a continuing battle with prescription medication and says it has had a huge impact on his relationships.
Mike says he turned back to prescription medication after he and his brother were indicted because of falsely filed income tax returns from 2010 to 2012.
“From there it was just a spiral,” he said in the interview.
“Your emotions are blocked. So you really ruin relationships with everyone in your life.”
Mike is set to reveal more about his addiction on an upcoming series called, Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition.
