He has his say on the matter.
Melvin Odoom was the first celebrity to get eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing this year, and was followed by actress Tameka Empson the next week. This prompted people to accuse viewers of being racist.

But now Melvin has responded to these accusations and told The Sun, “If there was a racist issue we wouldn’t be there in the first place. I think it’s got nothing to do with that. I think people are just trying to find a story to make out of nothing essentially”
Her added that it was hard to watch Laura Whitmore and Tameka in the dance off last week, “That dance-off for me was like, whoever loses, it’s going to be a terrible outcome and I think every single week you’re going to be sad to see someone go.”
