Mean Girls announces first ever tour dates

Mean Girls the Musical has announced details of a UK and Ireland tour – and this is how to get tickets.
The smash-hit West End show will head to venues throughout 2026 and into 2027 following its run at the Savoy Theatre.
The musical, which is based on the 2004 film of the same name, will open at Manchester’s Opera House on 23 February and head to the likes of Cardiff, Sunderland, Glasgow, Blackpool and Bristol.
It’ll also stop off at Belfast’s Grand Opera House between 9-20 June and Dublin’s Bord Gáis Energy Theatre between 25 August and 5 September.
The show features a book by Tina Fey, who also penned the film, music by Jeff Richmond, lyrics by Nell Benjamin, and direction and choreography by Casey Nicholaw.
Mean Girls the Musical originally premiered in 2017 at the National Theatre in Washington, D.C. before transferring to Broadway in 2018.
It has since completed two national tours in the US and ran in the West End for a year, where it was seen by over 330,000 people.
Notable names who have performed in the production includes Sabrina Carpenter, Ashley Park and Reneé Rapp, with the latter reprising her role as Regina George for the 2024 film adaption of the musical.

When do tickets go on sale?
The official Mean Girls the Musical website has confirmed that tickets for all shows will be “on sale soon”.
Fans will be able to get tickets for performances in Manchester, Sunderland, Milton Keynes, Glasgow, Bristol, Liverpool and Edinburgh from ATG Tickets.
While tickets for shows in Dublin will be available from Ticketmaster Ireland.
