Mary Berry has surprisingly revealed her favourite Bake Off contestant

The Bake Off judge is not remaining impartial.

Mary Berry has a place in all of our hearts, from her ladylike manner, to her amazing cooking and her fantastically elegant dress sense. The judge of the popular cooking show is usually very impartial and fair when it comes to contestants, which is why we were surprised to see that she could pick a favourite. Speaking at the National Television Awards on Wednesday night, Mary told reporters that Nadiya stood out to her.

"I think the one that Nadiya won was the greatest one from Bake Off," she said.

''Over the weeks, she's grown and grown and learned herself, that she can do it,'' Mary said at the time.

Mary, who won the award for best TV judge at the NTA's continued to praise Nadiya on the night.

"She had achieved so much. She was very young, and she'd worked very hard. And she had her family behind her."

We'd have to agree with the glamorous judge, as Nadiya will always have a place in our hearts as one of the most humble and deserving contestants.
