Lucy Boynton has confirmed season two of Netflix’s The Politician is happening – and it’s going to start filming very, very soon.

While promoting The Politician in London last month, Lucy confirmed that it wouldn’t be much longer before the cast get to work on season two.

In footage pointed out by Cosmoshe said:

“We’ve got the group chat going. Then we’re so lucky because we get season two really soon.

“We start filming at the beginning of October, so we don’t really have to miss each other that long.”

Ben Platt, who plays Payton, previously told The Hollywood Reporter how it wasn’t possible to really predict where the story would be headed.

He said:

“Every time we think we know, [creators Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan and Brad Falchuk] really shock us.

“All I know is that it will be very much focused on mine and Judith’s race, and that we’ll be in New York now. And we’re theoretically a little bit older and coming into our own as adults.”
