Episode 12 is out now!

“Let go of your insecurities…”

Lucie Donlan’s sister has asked Love Island viewers to be kind following the contestant’s recent chat with Tommy.

Emily Airton urged fans of the show to “be better” and to avoid being a part of the hate that has been directed at her sister as a result of Friday night’s show.

The episode saw Lucie admit her true feelings for Tommy in the snug, before telling Molly-Mae that she was rethinking their friendship.

The conversation led to a mild bit of a backlash towards Lucie, who had previously maintained that she and Tommy were only ever going to be friends.

Emily took to Instagram this weekend and urged the public not to be too harsh on her sister.

“To hate is one of the weakest things you can do,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself and Lucie.

“Whether it is to a stranger, friend or yourself, it is disservice to who you are. Learn to let go of your insecurities, judgements and begin to appreciate others for who they are.”

“Please be better than this internet culture of hate. Be kind, be compassionate. Be human.”

Lucie admitted her feelings for Tommy on Friday night after pulling him a chat in the snug.

The surfer told him that she knew “there could be something more” between them, before Tommy respectfully shut her down saying that he has “found everything I want in Molly-Mae.”

Lucie’s former, ahem, “half-boyfriend” Joe responded to the scenes on Twitter, writing the ominous: “Always trust your gut instincts.”

You might have been right to be paranoid man, but you still played that whole thing painfully bad.
