The latest episode of our Love Island show I’ve Got A Text is now live!
Things look set to be awkward between Caroline Flack and Love Island‘s Francesca as a tweet claiming that Francesca and a friend verbally abused the TV host has re-emerged.
The tweet, written by a friend in 2012, alleges that they called Caroline a “pedo” to her face at a festival in 2012.
It read; “Highligh of the dayyy seeing Caroline Flack and calling herrr a dirtyy pedo withhhh @francesca_allen hahaha.”
A rep for Francesca has insisted that she would be “mortified” to be judged over the post now.
“This was a historic tweet that has not come from Francesca directly,” the rep told The Sun.
“Francesca can’t reply as she is in the villa but she would be mortified if she was judged based on the actions of a 16 year old friend.
“She has a lot of respect for Caroline and is looking forward to meeting her.”
The incident happened not long after Caroline and Harry Styles’s break-up.
She was 31 at the time while he was 17.
Caroline has previously opened up about the backlash she faced over her relationship with Harry.
“It began to go wrong when Harry was pictured coming out of my house one morning,” she wrote in her book Storm In A C Cup.
“And once that was out, it was open season.
“After that, anyone could say anything. In the street people started shouting at me ‘paedophile’ and ‘pervert’.”
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two.
