Love Island’s Brad speaks out after Lucinda and Aaron bombshell

Sarah McKenna Barry

The contestant said that he has “unfinished business” with Lucinda.

Just last week, Love Island’s Brad and Lucinda parted ways after the public voted them the least compatible in the villa.

The couple was told that one of them had to leave, or they could go together. Brad decided that his time in the villa had come to end, and told Lucinda to stay on.

After a brief mourning period, Lucinda seemed to put the short relationship behind her as she was courted by new boy Danny Bibby, as well as Aaron Francis.

After things with Danny fizzled out during last night’s episode, a potential relationship now appears to be bubbling between Lucinda and Aaron.

Brad, however, has said that he isn’t “completely shocked” that Lucinda has since moved on.

The former islander discussed his time in the villa on the Love Island: Morning After podcast with Kem Cetinay and Arielle Free.

Brad said: “[Lucinda] had her opportunity to go with Aaron, she had her opportunity to go with Hugo, and she decided not to. I’ve seen that, obviously, because I was in there.

“But the viewers at home didn’t see that. They only saw me and Lucinda.”

He added: “I wasn’t particularly shocked they had the conversation because Aaron has always made it clear he fancied Lucinda.”

However, Brad said that if he was able to go back into the villa, he’d feel “confident” in wooing Lucinda once more.

“I’ve already been in that situation, where it was me, Aaron or Hugo and I already came out on top,” Brad said.

He added: “I’m not usually confident in those situations but in that situation I would be.”

On the podcast, he also hinted that he would wait for Lucinda, despite her budding relationship with Aaron.

“I’m one of those people that I don’t like unfinished business, do you know what I mean?” Brad said.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media One the Virgin Media Player.
