Poor old Tommy.
Love Island‘s resident boxer has a known aversion to shapes but it looks as though he could soon be back in one.
Those who’ve been following the show from the start will know that Tommy was previously caught in a bit of a love triangle with Lucie and Molly-Mae.
He eventually coupled up with the latter, going on to become one of the strongest couples in the villa.
Tommy has stayed good friends with Lucie but finds himself caught between the two girls once again after tonight’s Twitter challenge.
In the game, Islanders read tweets written by the public about them; their first chance to get a sense of how they’re being perceived by viewers.
Molly-Mae gets upset by a tweet that reads “Tommy and Lucie are meant to be. Look at them!”.
“I am the jealous type and I am the sort of person to get jealous over situations,” Molly-Mae tells Tommy afterwards.
“Obviously ‘cos you do spend a lot of much time together, I do feel like she does try to get quite close to you.”
Meanwhile, Lucie refuses to rule out ever getting together with Tommy.
“It’s mad because I’ve had friends as guys and at stages, I have actually ended up dating them at the end.”
Maura quizzes Lucie whether she would ever spark things up again with him.
“Never say never?” she asks, to which Lucie replies “We can say that. Obviously we get on.”
Later in the Beach Hut, Lucie elaborates;
“Obviously I went on a date with him so I was considering it back then so I mean, you can never really say never.
“Sometimes when you’re best friends with guys, sometimes you end up together so I’m never going to say ‘No.'”
Saucy enough.
Love Island continues on Virgin Media Two tonight at 9pm.
