There is good news for the thousands of Irish living abroad as RTÉ has just announced that they are launching an international Player app.
This is the station’s second paid-for app, which follows on from last year’s app that allowed viewers to live stream GAAGo to watch the league and championship matches along with The Sunday Game.
Now, the RTÉ Player International iOS app will reportedly include both free and paid-for content with popular programmes such as the Late Late Show available as free-to-view.
Other content that users will have access to through the paid service will include Room to Improve, Love/Hate and Raw.
Ryan Tubridy is the face of the new app for “the global Irish” and it is hoped it will achieve the same success as its GAA-focused app last year, which has – to date – been downloaded in 157 countries.
