Lisa Armstrong lashes out at reports that she’s ‘difficult’ in Twitter statement

The pair announced their split back in January.

Lisa Armstrong has taken to Twitter to respond to recent reports that she’s been “difficult” during her split from her partner of 23 years, Ant McPartlin. The makeup artist is currently on holiday in LA but responded to recent headlines that she had kicked Ant’s rumoured new girlfriend out of their home.

“Lies lies lies x,” Lisa wrote on Twitter late last night.

She also showed her support for a theory that Ant’s team are behind recent headlines that are all portraying her as “difficult”. Lisa liked a tweet from a follower that read:

“Me thinks there may be a bit of PR trying to make someone’s wife look like she is difficult and that the marriage was over for years so they look good in the publics eyes again.”

The MUA has previously taken to Twitter to speak on the latest updates, including last week when news broke of Ant’s relationship with his former personal assistant, Anne-Marie Corbett.

Anne-Marie, a separated mum-of-two, has 'put Ant back together again' after his struggle with addiction and a drink-driving incident, a source said.

"He’s had a tough time of it, but Anne-Marie has put a smile back on his face again," the source said. "She has been his rock. They have been living in each other’s pockets, day in, day out. "Knowing someone is there for him has brought him back from the brink — she’s put him back together again. "It’s very early days, but everyone is hoping he can put the worst year of his life behind him and find happiness again. Both of them deserve it."

Ant and Lisa announced that they were going their separate ways in January after over 23 years together and 11 years of marriage.
