Lisa Armstrong defends herself against troll amid Ant split rumours

Lisa Armstrong has finally spoken out amid speculation that her marriage to Ant McPartlin is over.

The Strictly Come Dancing makeup artist stood her ground against a Twitter user who implied that she didn't understand addiction. "I've been addicted to codeine. Educate yourself about it first," the user, whose account has since been deleted, wrote. Lisa responded that they should "get their facts right," but also appeared sympathetic.

Ant spent two months in rehab during the summer for an addiction to painkillers he developed after a knee operation. It was reported in November that he and wife Lisa were separating after 11 years of marriage. They were said to be spending time apart before Ant went to Australia to host this year's series of I'm A Celebrity. "Ant is spending time apart from Lisa — he’s said he needs space and everyone respects that," a source told the Sun. "They are effectively leading separate lives while he re-evaluates everything." Now back in the UK, Ant is reportedly living in an apartment a few streets away from the home he and Lisa shared in London.
