Lily Allen has revealed that she doesn’t know how to ‘use a washing machine’ and gets her kids to wash her clothes for her.
The Not Fair singer opened up about her aversion to household chores during an episode of the Miss Me? podcast, which she hosts alongside broadcaster Miquita Oliver.
The 39-year-old, who married Stranger Things star David Harbour during a private ceremony in Las Vegas in 2020 and now shares two kids with the actor, explained: “Do you want to know a secret? I don’t know how to use a washing machine. I have this fear of shrinking and dyeing clothes so I just don’t do it.
“David and the kids do the washing, I’ll iron but I don’t even like putting things in the drier. I’m scared.
“The kids are really good at it. Ethel is particularly good at using the washing machine but I have a fear of it. I don’t want to go near it.”

Allen ventured into the world of OnlyFans by setting up her own account and posting pictures and videos of her feet which are available to view behind a paywall.
She announced her new anatomical endeavour on Instagram, where she shared a picture of her toes next to the famous Trevi fountain in Italy with a link labelled “La dolce feeta”.
This link took people to her OnlyFans account, where her username is Lily Allen FTSE500, If you were wondering, she’s charging $10 (£7.90) a month, the Guardian reports.
The 39-year-old came up with the idea during an episode of the podcast, when she revealed to Oliver that she has a five-star rating on WikiFeet, a website dedicated to sharing photos of celebrities’ feet.
Before this, she’d apparently already been told by her nail technician that her toes were good enough to make some money online.
Lily Allen isn’t the only famous face to set up an OnlyFans account. Bella Thorne, Denise Richards, Cardi B and Iggy Azalea are just a few other celebs to have huge followings on the platform.
