A successful sequel is indeed rare, not just in animation, but there are a few that have certainly made a second trip to the cinema worthwhile. From those Minions to Buzz and Woody, everyone wanted a little bit more. Here are the six best animated sequels.
1. Despicable Me 2
We just couldn’t get enough of Gru, those adorable girls and those little Minions! MINIONS ASSEMBLE!
2. Toy Story 2
Toy Story was a game-changer. The first Pixar feature was so successful, it would have been difficult to top, but they did it.

Because everyone wanted Donkey round 2, didn’t they?

We know this is the second Toy Story on the list, but we just had to do it. Many will have remembered this particular gem as the story that ruined your childhood. Didn’t you just want to go home and take out your old toys? Heartbreaking.

6. Happy Feet 2
Happy Feet was another of those films that really took everyone by surprise when it was released, and luckily Happy Feet 2 was just as enjoyable. Even just for Robin Williams alone…
