Laura said:
“I have watched Strictly and been obsessed with the show since series one. It’s an incredible show and I feel so honoured to be asked to part of it. I’m not going to lie, I’m slightly petrified too!”
Whitmore’s career in the UK started in 2008 when she beat 3,000 other hopefuls to win a VJ role with MTV. She went on to anchor ITV2’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now and this year hosted online coverage for the BAFTAs and fronted The Brits Are Coming on ITV.
Other stars rumoured to be appearing on this year’s Strictly are former EastEnders star Jonny Labey, Birds Of A Feather actress Leslie Joseph, Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby, Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery, pop star Louise Redknapp, American singer Anastasia, TV presenter Kate Humble, and even Cheryl Cole, which would be absolute ratings dynamite.
