Host Patrick Kielty returns to screens this evening and his guests on the much-anticipated episode have been revealed.
While it was away for the summer, RTÉ’s flagship TV talk show the Late Late is back on screens tonight (Friday, 13 September).
And in a break from tradition during host Patrick Kielty’s reign, RTÉ have revealed the (mostly full) line-up for the programme’s much-anticipated return.
It will be a sports-heavy episode as golfer Rory McIlroy will be in conversation with Kielty as the 2024 Irish Open is happening in Country Down.
The pair will chat along the Royal County Down fairway about “all things golf”, as well as the very special project McIlroy is supporting across Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
On top of this, the upcoming episode of the Late Late will see Olympians and Paralympians coming together for the very first time following Team Ireland’s performances in Paris over the summer.

In terms of music, Kielty will welcome young rappers Kabin Crew and the Lisdoonvarna Crew to the studio to perform and discuss their massive viral hit ‘The Spark’ – which was hailed by huge international outlets like The New York Times as the “song of the summer”.
Also, the renowned folk music artists John Sheahan and Phil Coulter will be on the Late Late to exclusively unveil Sheahan’s new stage show titled The Dubliners Encore.
Rounding out the line-up is comedian John Bishop, who will chat about touring Ireland.
Plus, RTÉ have teased that host Kielty has “something he is really looking forward to telling viewers about”.
You can tune into The Late Late Show on Friday at 9.35 pm on RTÉ One.
