Apparently, a live-action Pokemon movie is on the way and a hugely famous Hollywood actor has been linked to the role of Pikachu.
None other than Ryan Reynolds is said to be taking on the role. Mad, we know.
The movie is going to be a spin-off from the Pokemon franchise and will be called Detective Pikachu. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie is going to begin shooting in London in 2018 and will be directed by Rob Letterman (Goosebumps).
Ryan is a brilliant actor but we just didn’t see him playing the role of Pikachu.
Joining him in the cast will be Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton.
The story is set to be based around the kidnapping of the Justice Smith’s character’s father. He joins forces with Detective Pikachu to find him, while Kathryn will play a journalist who also helps in the search.
