Look away now Twilight fans.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart looked picture perfect from the beginning of their five-year relationship back when they were starring in Twilight. Their chemistry on and off the screen was evident and they eventually became a poster couple with people watching their every move.

People were pretty shocked when they broke up but it turns out that Kristen wasn’t very happy about the relationship. She opened up to The New York Times’ T magazine about their relationship and laid bare some pretty harsh truths.

She said that the relationship became “gross” after it was turned into “entertainment”.

She explained:

“People wanted me and Rob to be together so badly that our relationship was made into a product. It wasn’t real life anymore. And that was gross to me.

It’s not that I want to hide who I am or hide anything I’m doing in my life. It’s that I don’t want to become a part of a story for entertainment value.”

Speaking about her new relationship with visual-effects producer, Alicia Cargile she said:

“I would never talk about any of my relationships before, but once I started dating girls it seemed like there was an opportunity to represent something really positive.

I still want to protect my personal life, but I don’t want to seem like I’m protecting the idea, so that does sort of feel like I owe something to people.”

She usually wouldn’t be so open about her private life but she even showed the reporter some photos of the two of them together gushing about her girlfriend saying, “Look how cute she is… I love her so much.”
