Attention, Marshmallows.

Veronica Mars is officially coming back to the small screen.

The cult favourite series aired for three season from 2004 to 2007 on UPN, before it moved to the CW.

And while there’s been plenty of rumours about a possible revival/reboot, this is the first official announcement.

Last month, it was reported that Hulu was keen to bring back Kristen Bell’s detective for another series – with the actress back in the title role (of course).

The actress took to Instagram on Thursday to confirm that the series is coming back – although she didn’t give much else away.

In the video, she said:

“This is a very important Marshmallow announcement.

“Did you guys know that as of summer 2019 all the old Veronica Mars episodes will be available on Hulu to stream and re-watch, which is great ’cause you’ll need to brush up, since we’re making another one!”

At the time of writing, the video has gotten almost 50,000 likes – so it’s safe to say that fans are very excited over the news.

The description of the 8-episode mini-series reads:

“Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. A

“fter Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.”
