Kevin and Karen Clifton officially confirm they’ve split after giving a statement

After months of speculation over their relationship, Kevin and Karen Clifton have now confirmed that they have split up.

The pair, who have been married for three years, are professional dancers on Strictly Come Dancing. The split rumours first began to spread during the latest series of Strictly, with suggestions that infidelity led to the break-up. Now, they have finally put all the speculation to bed and have confirmed that they are no longer together. According to The Sun, they joined Chris Evans on his breakfast show where they officially confirmed the split. Speaking to Chris, Kevin said:

"Privately we are not together anymore but professionally we are stronger than ever before. Dance is how we came together and is what glues us together. We’re still the best of friends – we still have a lot of love and respect for each other. What we’ve found is that since we’ve been honest with each other it’s unlocked our creativity."

Karen also added:

"We have such strong chemistry and it’s about entertaining and inspiring. At the end of the day it’s about giving back to fans. We’re feeling very positive."
