Katy Perry robbed this guy of his first kiss and understandably he’s not happy

Well this is just plain weird.

Katy Perry is causing quite the stir in her latest role as judge on American Idol. Just yesterday, when 19-year-old Benjamin Glaze appeared on the show, he revealed he had never been kissed in the little "chit chat" ahead of him singing. This news shocked Katy Perry and she then asked the guy to come kiss her on the cheek, he seemed reluctant and unsure if this was a set up, but he did it. And the weird part came when Katy Perry asked him to do it again because the kiss didn't make the "smush sound" the first time round, so again, reluctantly he did, and when he was about to land the kiss on her cheek, Katy turned and kissed him on the lips surprisingly. Just watch the awkwardness unfold yourself here... Since the audition, Benjamin spoke to the New York Times revealing that if she asked for the kiss he would of said no because he was saving it for someone special. He said: “Would I have done it if she said, ‘Would you kiss me?’ No, I would have said no,” he said. “I know a lot of guys would be like, ‘Heck yeah!’ But for me, I was raised in a conservative family and I was uncomfortable immediately. I wanted my first kiss to be special.” It is understandable that with the pressure of the production and filming crew as well as being mid-audition, Benjamin probably felt the pressure to kiss Katy in the moment and "enjoy it", however, it is seriously unprofessional and downright strange that a 33-year-old artist would pounce on a young boy like that with no pre-warning. And although some people would kill to have their first kiss with a celebrity, that is not the opinion of everyone and certainly when they don't ask for it. ABC or Katy Perry has not responded to any press comments on this incident.
