Kate Beckinsale talks being body shamed on the set of Pearl Harbour

Michael Bay more like Michael GWAY...

Pearl Harbour was an unreal film.

It created the incredible love triangle between nurse Evelyn and two soldiers, Rafe and Danny during World War Two.

But it’s the story behind the scenes of the 2001 film that is really breaking our hearts.

Reportedly, while Kate Beckinsale was working on set, playing the character of nurse Evelyn, she suffered serious body-shaming from Hollywood director Michael Bay.

According to Mashable, Kate shared details on The Graham Norton Show of how she was disappointed at the director’s view on actresses:

“I think he was baffled by me because my boobs weren’t bigger than my head and I wasn’t blonde…

“I’d just had my daughter and had lost weight, but I was told that if I got the part, I’d have to work out.”

She continued to divulge extremely disrespectful comments the director would make to reporters and interviewers alike:

“When he was asked about me, he’d say, ‘Kate wasn’t so attractive that she would alienate the female audience.’

“He kept saying it everywhere we went — and we went to a lot of places!”

Ok… RUDE!

There’s certainly no chance of Michael Bay alienating the male audience because of his good looks anyway…
