Johnny Depp uses an earpiece to remember his lines, ex-managers claim

The actor’s former managers are claiming that he uses an earpiece to avoid learning his lines.

The ex-managers have claimed that Depp employs a sound engineer to read him his lines through an earpiece so that he doesn’t have to memorise his scripts.

The news comes during a bitter court battle between the Academy Award Nominee and his former management team, Joel and Robert Mandel, who are being sued for apparently ‘mismanaging’ the actor.

However, the managers are countersuing the Pirates of the Caribbean star, saying that he has paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to employ a engineer to feed him his lines on set.

“Depp insisted that this sound engineer be kept on yearly retainer so that he no longer had to memorise his lines,” according to the Mandel’s attorney, Michael Kump.

However, Depp’s legal representation has hit back at the claims, calling them “psychobabble”.

The management team’s attorney also said that Depp has a “compulsive spending disorder” and needs “a mental examination”.

Depp fired the management duo in March last year after the pair say they did “everything possible to protect Depp from his own irresponsible and profligate spending”.
