‘It’s f***ing bulls**t’: Love Island’s Dr Alex loses it on tonight’s episode

Keeley Ryan

Things had finally been looking up for Dr. Alex.

But it looks like things are about the fall apart for the doctor and his partner, Ellie Brown – just days after they officially recoupled.

In a preview released for the ITV2 summer series, Alex is seen confronting Ellie – after telling Dani Dyer and Laura Anderson that he felt his partner had been “playing games” since they officially partnered up.

He also said that he thought she had become “rude” and distant with him right after he picked her at the recoupling ceremony.

Before the almost-but-not-quite couple’s showdown, Ellie was seen telling the other girls in the villa:

“So, I came into this villa really wanting to get to know Alex, because I was just like…he would treat me so nice. He’s such a sweetheart.

“And I was kind, no offence, I was kinda looking at you [guys] thinking, why does nobody like him? I couldn’t get it.

“And then I’ve come into the villa, and I was like…I kinda get it.

“Honestly, the thought of having sex with him is like having sex with a mate, you kinda just wanna wrap him in bubble wrap and keep him sweet.”

Later on in the Beach Hut, she elaborated on her feelings towards Alex, adding:

“If you don’t have a sexual attraction and a romance with someone then you just don’t have it.

“It doesn’t mean you’re a bad person, it doesn’t mean you think they’re a bad person, it’s just sh*t. It is sh*t.”

The news that Ellie sees him as a ‘mate’ appears to have (eventually) reached Alex, since…well, it’s a fairly small villa. It was never going to stay a secret for very long.

Alex, Dani, Jack, Samira, Megan and Laura are all seen sitting in the beanbag chairs – and the doctor is raging.

Alex fumes:

“She’s playing games, I’m gonna call her out.

“She’s recoupled with me and not spoken to me since.”

Dani and Laura, meanwhile, tried to comfort Alex – and keep the brewing storm as far away from the villa as possible.

Dani tries to tell him that she didn’t think Ellie was playing games, while Laura added that it was a “bit harsh” to say about their housemate.

Despite their efforts, Alex charged ahead with his questions:

“Then why did she tell me, ‘I like Alex, I want to go with Alex’, and said all these things, recoupled and then…overnight, as soon as we recoupled – that was it.”

Laura tried to calm things, again, by adding:

“Obviously, from our side, she’s telling us that she’s trying.”

It didn’t quite have the effect that she was hoping for, though, as Alex continued to fume over Ellie’s comments.

He vented:

“F***ing bullsh*t, she’s not only not trying, she’s being rude to me. If she’s telling you she’s made an effort, that’s f***ed me off.

When Alex and Ellie finally say down for a chat, she was quick to defend herself, saying: “I did not come in to this villa and say ‘Alex is the guy for me’, at all.”

He appeared to try to insist otherwise, as Ellie continued:

“You’re saying sh*t Alex, I never came in and said that. It was bullsh*t because I never said that.”
