Is This The Best Date Night Movie of All Time?

We asked, you answered. This summer, Her.ie is pairing up with Tattersalls Country House for a screening under the stars. Movies on the Lawn at Tattersalls is set to be one of the summer’s most magical events – and we want you to come too. If you’re not already familiar with the venue, Tattersalls is a stunning country house, set in 200 rolling acres of green Meath pastures, terraces and beautiful gardens, and it is located just half an hour from Dublin city centre. This summer, Tattersalls are giving you the chance to watch iconic movies under the stars. On Saturday August 1st, Love on the Lawn at Tattersalls kicks off the movie nights season with When Harry Met Sally. For the second night, though, we asked you to vote on the ultimate date night movie. Over 1,200 Her.ie readers had their say, and Pretty Woman came out on top. The Julia Roberts classic pipped The Notebook to the number one position, while weep-fest My Girl came in third. Now, on August 2^nd, the Bank Holiday Sunday night, Pretty Woman will take centre stage for the best screening you’ll ever see. We’ll be contacting lucky ticket winners from those who voted on Her.ie in the coming days, but if you want to come along too – don’t worry, you can still join in the fun! Tickets cost €10 per person. Along with your entry, you'll also enjoy a glass of sparkling Dalliance 2013, the delicious cider from Irish artisan producers Craigies. This dry sparkling cider is more similar to a sparkling wine than a traditional cider, and there will be a Craigies pop-up bar on both nights too. If you get peckish, Burger Republic will be serving their gorgeous gourmet burgers, and there will be plenty of other foodie treats to enjoy. Couples or groups of pals can snuggle up and enjoy the movie, and maybe even pop by the resident photographer in the Secret Garden at Tattersalls for a memento. On the lawn directly in front of the beautiful country house, Love on the Lawn at Tattersalls Country House takes place on Saturday August 1st and Sunday August 2^nd.
