It’s actually kind of catchy.

There’s not long to go until the 2018 Eurovision – and now we’ve gotten our first look (and listen) of Ireland’s entry.

Singer Ryan O’Shaughnessy, who previously appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, The Voice of Ireland, and The Hit, was announced as Ireland’s entry into the signing competition in January.

He’ll be representing the country in May when he takes to the stage in Lisbon to perform the ballad, Together,   which was co-written with Mark Caplice and Laura Elizabeth Hughes.

The music video, which was released on Friday, follows a young couple on a night out as stroll through Dublin’s Temple Bar.

On the video, O’Shaughnessy said:

“It was amazing seeing the video come to life in the way it did, sticking with the original concept that love is universal and there are testing moments in every relationship.

“I can’t wait for all Eurovision fans to hear the track and check out the video!”

The music video was directed by Christian Tierney, who has worked with a number of artists like The Weeknd, Macklemore, Kendrick Lamar and The 1975.

It was choreographed Ciaran Connolly, who has worked with some of the biggest names in music, television and during stadium tours, like Robbie Williams, Cheryl Cole, and Michael Bublé.

The video for Together features dancers Alan McGrath (who previously performed as a backing dancer and drummer for Ryan Dolan’s Only Love Survives Eurovision performance in Malmo in 2013) and Kevin O’Dwyer.
