Instagram makes a statement about your followers not being able to see your posts

We all love a bit of Instagram.

Whether posting pictures of your everyday travels is your thing or you're more of a Instagram Story gal, it can be fun to keep up with your friends and celebs on the social network. However, recently there's been more and more complaints about people's followers not being able to see their posts. This has mainly caused uproar in the blogging/influencer community, but it can effect us too. Instagram took to Twitter this morning to make a statement about the rumours and tried to clear everything up. They said:

We’ve noticed an uptick in posts about Instagram limiting the reach of your photos to 7% of your followers, and would love to clear this up.

What shows up first in your feed is determined by what posts and accounts you engage with the most, as well as other contributing factors such as the timeliness of posts, how often you use Instagram, how many people you follow, etc.

We have not made any recent changes to feed ranking, and we never hide posts from people you're following – if you keep scrolling, you will see them all. Again, your feed is personalized to you and evolves over time based on how you use Instagram.✌️

It seems like users weren't too happy with the statement however, and would much prefer the site go back to chronological order:
