“I’m So Thrilled!” – Bonnie Langford Is Joining the EastEnders Cast

Bonnie Langford is the latest familiar face to join the EastEnders cast. The star, best known for her work in the West End, will make her Albert Square debut in June according to the show’s website. She has landed the role of Carmel Kazemi, the mother of Kush Kazemi, and it sounds like she’s going to be quite the character. Bonnie is joining the EastEnders cast (image via BBC). Executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins revealed that he is very happy to welcome Bonnie to the EastEnders family and expects great things. “Bonnie brings wit, pathos and a touch of class to Carmel Kazemi - a thoroughly modern Essex divorcee who isn’t quite ready to cut the apron strings firmly attached to her son Kush. Even if it means clashing spectacularly with an already prickly Shabnam.” And he’s not the only one who’s looking forward to it as Bonnie herself said:  “I’m so thrilled and delighted to be part of EastEnders. I’m a great fan of the show and think the recent 30th Anniversary was sensational… To be part of this family is an absolute privilege.”
