Lock up your rabbits.

The iconic 80’s thriller Fatal Attraction looks set for the small screen.

Fox has decided to transform the movie responsible for the term “bunny boiler” into a short-order events series in cahoots with Paramount Television.

Michael Douglas , Glenn Close Directed by Adrian Lyne
The 1987 movie starred Michael Douglas and Glenn Close.

However, the project is still in early stages – thus far it has received script commitment with a view to making a pilot.

If the pilot goes down well, a full series will be on the cards.

Mad Men writers Maria and Andre Jacquemetton are on board to pen the script which has been described as “a reimagining of the iconic thriller, in which a married man’s indiscretion comes back to haunt him.”

Fatal Attraction
The movie was also made into a musical starring Kristin Davis.

The 1987 movie, directed by Adrian Lyne, starred Michael Douglas as an unfaithful husband whose extra-marital affair with Alex Forrest (Glenn Close) terrorises him and his family, resulting in his daughter’s bunny being boiled.

It would certainly be interesting to see how the story would play out in the small screen.
