Hugh Grant has us all incredibly excited about Bridget Jones 4 in the Her office
Hugh Grant spoke about why he thinks Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy is the “best one yet”.
According to the renowned actor, the movie – which is due for release in February 2025 – is “the one with the most heart.”
He told Extra TV: “It’s very moving, but also very funny.”
The first three films were all incredibly big hits at the box office, having been released in 2001, 2004 and 2016 respectively, but Grant says the fourth instalment’s script is “the best” so far.
In an interview with People Magazine, Hugh said: “It’s partly based on [Bridget Jones’ Diary author] Helen Fielding’s experienced of bringing up two children by herself after her husband died.
“And so, Bridget is bringing up two kids and wondering whether she should ever go back to dating. It’s a very good script.”
When the news of the fourth film was revealed to fans, a source close to production claimed that it would have some sort of ‘devastating twist’.
It was confirmed months back that Renee Zellweger and Hugh Grant would reprise their iconic roles, much to fans’ delight.
The film is due for release on February 14th, 2025.
