A huge Hollywood actor has been added to the Forbidden Fruit line-up

Just when you thought the line-up of Forbidden Fruit couldn't get any better...

The folks behind Forbidden Fruit have just announced that Hollywood actor Idris Elba has just been added to the jam-packed line-up. Best known for his roles in The Wire and Luther, Thor and Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, the Golden Globe-winning actor  will play a DJ set at the festival. Announcing the addition, the organisers said:

"Adding even more wow-factor to the Saturday line-up we’ve got actor, musician, producer and DJ, Idris Elba. Since DJing at the age of 14, his passion and excitement for music has never gone away and we’re super excited to have him reprise his role on the decks with his house-party project."

[caption id="attachment_392730" align="alignnone" width="594"]  [/caption] Interestingly, he was due to play at the festival in 2015, but pulled out days before 'due to rescheduled filming commitments'. Hopefully, this time around his other work won't get in the way. Taking place at The Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, Dublin on the June Bank Holiday Weekend, Idris will join headliners The War on Drugs, Bonobo and Justice, along with many more acts.
