Huge Disney News – Major Blockbuster To Get A Sequel

Reports have surfaced that Disney are conjuring up a sequel to last year's blockbuster Maleficent.  Deadline have reported that the Disney creatives are busy plotting the next installment of the box office hit which starred Angelina Jolie as the menacing title character. The site reports that the original screenwriter Linda Woolverton is back as well as producer Joe Roth. However, in a major plot twist, Angelina has not yet signed on to the project. But don't despair, Deadline have assured us that she is being kept "in the loop" and that the sequel is being written for her to reprise. Maleficent, which tells the story of classic Sleeping Beauty but from the villain's perspective, grossed nearly $760 million worldwide, so no surprises that they are seeking to continue the story. We just hope Angie comes on board so that we can all have our fairy tale ending.
