Home and Away Legend Speaks Out About His Future on the Show

Ray Meagher has revealed that he has no plans to leave Home and Away. The soap legend is the longest-serving cast member, having been on the show since it began in 1988, and plans to continue for as long as he can. The new kids coming through keep it fresh. “My current contract has a couple of years to go. I’m sure if I turned up at Channel Nine three or four days a week and they had to point me to Channel Seven, they’d probably say I’d had enough.” The actor has been on the show since it started (image: Home and Away) The 71-year-old added: “As a job for an actor, I am so grateful for it. I’ve got no plans to leave unless something really unforeseen happens.”
