Here’s who should be the next Carpool Karaoke stars, according to study of popular celebs

Would these be your choices?

Her

James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke is the kind of phenomenal viral success that defies all statistics and data.

Still, that hasn’t stopped some data wonks from applying their studies to the online singalong sensation.

Writing on the website Affinio, writer Hannah Chapple reports how Apple has commissioned a 16-episode Carpool Karaoke series to be shown exclusively on the Apple Music streaming service (Corden will not be hosting it).

In order to determine who should take over hosting duties instead, Chapple uses a formula that analyses audiences based on shared interests, follower counts and other metrics “to pinpoint the celebrities, brands, and organisations that matter most to your target audience.”

She continues:

“To begin my analysis, I ran an Affinio Tweet Content Report on anyone mentioning “Carpool Karaoke” on Twitter in the past 30 days. Immediately, we can see a break out out of interest-based clusters such as: 5SOS Super Fans, Marketing/Tech Fans, General Pop Culture enthusiasts, and Directioners.”

Using this formula, she determines that the best potential hosts for the series are: Ellen DeGeneres, Justin Timberlake, Neil Patrick Harris, Ryan Seacrest, and Channing Tatum.

As a side-study of this host analysis, Chapple also crunches the numbers to find out who would make for the most impactful musical guests on the show – based on the most influential singers to the target audience, and ones who have not already guested

They are:

  1. Taylor Swift
  2. Adam Levine
  3. Justin Timberlake
  4. Ed Sheeran
  5. P!nk
  6. Lady Gaga
  7. Beyonce
  8. Sam Smith
  9. Katy Perry
  10. Rihanna

So if you’re reading Apple and/or James Corden, this might be your best bets!
