Here’s What’s Coming to Netflix for Christmas

Get the hot water bottles, blankets and slippers stat.

Cassie Delaney

Ah Christmas, a time of family, food and Netflix binges. And with the weather continuing to be a never-ending shower, staying in, battening down the hatches and wrapping up in a blanket and ignorance of the outside world sounds absolutely ideal.

Our recent hibernation as we save for the festive season has allowed us to power through an impressive 102 episodes of Gossip Girl (I wish this was hyperbole), so it’s no surprise that we’re fast running out of things to watch. Also Netflix needs bit more of the Christmas cheer and winter inspired rom-coms to accompany our mince pie(s) and hot chocolate.

Fret not, a list released by the streaming service includes some pretty spectacular additions. Here are the highlights.

From early December, the entirety of The Vampire Diaries and How I Met Your Mother join the service. Hit movies Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, The Butterfly Effect (1-3) and What Women Want will be added. Men in Black will also join our Netflix queues. My personal favourites, Tim Burtons Big Fish and the must see Still Alice will also be available towards the end of the month. Josie and The Pussycats and The Pink Panther will also satisfy the love of early 90s teen movies.

Christmas titles include A Royal Christmas, Pocketful of Miracles, A Very Murray Christmas, The Passion of The Christ, Santa Claws and Arthur Christmas.
