Here’s the real reason Toff wasn’t at the I’m A Celeb final to crown the winner

I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here has been on telly for 16 years now.

It originally popped up on our screens back in 2002, when radio DJ Tony Blackburn was crowned the very first winner. Since then, it's become a yearly reality TV staple and has seen dozens of contestants go into the jungle. The show has stayed true to its format over the years and one tradition that's become a part of the final is that the previous year's winner would crown the new King or Queen of the Jungle. If you saw this year's final, you'll have seen that Harry Redknapp was given his crown by Extra Camp presenters and former champs Joe Swash and Scarlett Moffatt. We were expecting last year's winner Georgia Toffolo to do the honours, as has happened in other years, but she was nowhere to be seen. A source at ITV has explained that she wasn't there simply because the 'tradition' isn't actually really a thing. "It only happened the past two years because Scarlett Moffatt and Vicky Pattison were already here as ITV2 presenters," they told Digital Spy. "In addition, ITV2 used to have the previous year's winner on their show for the final, so Foggy and Charlie Brooks were here and also handed over the crown. "ITV2 hasn't had celebrity guests for their final show for quite a few years now – it has evicted celebs and friends and family." There you go.
