People weren’t impressed.
Last night’s Gogglebox aired scenes where Ellie and Izzy Warner, sisters who regularly appear on the show, made a joke about Dr David Dao, a United Airlines passenger forcibly removed from a flight this week.
Social media of the incident has been circulated this week showing that the 69-year-old doctor was treated in a violent manner on account of ‘overcrowding’.
In last night’s show, news coverage explaining what happened was shown with the sisters laughing and joking about it.
Ellie apparently said it would make “an amazing Snapchat story” while Izzy said it would be straight to her story too.
This didn’t go down too well with viewers, who aired their grievances on Twitter, criticising the girls for making the comments but also questioning Channel 4 for broadcasting the scenes.
