The new movie has been described as: "Teen detective Nancy Drew is back to solve a brand new mystery in Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase. Produced by Ellen and starring Sophia Lillis as Nancy, the film follows Nancy and her friends as they set out to solve a mystery, make new friends, and establish their place in the community." Back in 2007, Emma Roberts filled the role of Nancy but there is major hype around Sophia playing the female detective as she gained international recognition for playing Beverly Marsh in It. Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase will also star Zoe Renee (The Quad) and Mackenzie Graham (The Purge) and Laura Slade Wiggins (Shameless). The movie will be released in the US on Friday, March 15 however there is no official date confirmed for its Irish release.Check out the exclusive #NancyDrew trailer debut right here.
