Block your ears Spice Girls fans.
Geri Horner appeared on Good Morning Britain this morning to promote her new show, All Together Now.
During the interview presenters Suzanne and Ben asked her about a possible Spice Girls reunion. She gave the answer we all expected, that it just didn’t work out:
“Last year I so wanted it to happen, because you know it was the anniversary, a few of us were really pushing for it to happen, and then it didn’t. So, I thought of thought, ‘let it go a little bit’.
I love the girls and I’m really grateful to the fans and the music.”
Suzanne pressed Geri for further explanation asking if it ‘almost happened’, what the ‘sticking point’ was, to which Geri responded:
“Yeah, to get five people to agree all at the same time, even if you’ve got five really nice people, to say you all like the same colour, it’s hard.”
Suzanne picked up on what Geri had said and accused her of throwing shade, saying, “That was throwing shade, ‘Even if you’ve got five really nice people’,” and Ben added, “So some of them aren’t really nice?”
Poor Geri looked completely perplexed and replied, “No, they are really nice, that’s what I’m saying, they’re all really nice. No, I wasn’t saying that. They’re all really nice.”
