The Golden Globes is a gathering of Hollywood’s finest and most cherished.
This year was as exciting as ever with Meryl Streep’s awe-inspiring anti-hate speech and a surprise appearance from a handsome looking Brad Pitt.
And while there’s plenty of gossip to discuss later, the reality is they are here to serve a distinct purpose: to rank the talents of our favourite stars.
This year, the much-anticipated La La La Land starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling emerged as the big winner. Released next Friday (get your tickets now), the film is romantic musical comedy-drama film written and directed by Damien Chazelle. It follows a musician and an aspiring actress who meet and fall in love in Los Angeles. It scooped the best picture for a musical or comedy and earned Chazelle the accolade of best director.
In TV terms, The Night Manager stole the spotlight.
