As it turns out though, Paul may not have been in the series for all that long because creators were unsure as to whether Phoebe was going to end up with him or her ex, David.
Remember him? Minsk lad. You remember.
Co-creator David Crane told Radio Times that for a period, they weren't sure how Phoebe's story was going to end.
"There was definitely a possibility of that. I mean, we didn't definitely know [who she would end up with]," he said.
"They're both amazing actors. I mean, both Paul and Hank are fantastic and fantastic with her. We sort of went back and forth.
"I don't remember all the pieces that led to where we landed but yeah it could have gone the other way. Phoebe would have been great with either one."
Yeah but better with Paul, right? Right.
This comes amidst a lot of chat around the possibility of a Friends reunion, as Jennifer Aniston continues to give us all that sweet, sweet false hope.
In a recent interview with People, The Morning Show actor was asked if she knows anything about the reunion plans and her response was a straight-out "nothing".
However, she did continue on to say:
"And I will just continue with… we’re trying". "It’s a never ending question, isn’t it? What else could make a group of six actors feel more proud. It’s bringing people joy on a daily basis."Sure that's it.
