Former Eastenders actress Charlie Brooks has landed a role in a US television show.

Charlie, who played Janine Butcher in the London based soap, is said to be travelling to Hollywood to film the pilot episode next week.

According to The Mirror, thirty three-year-old Charlie, has been cast in a part that was originally offered to Patsy Palmer, otherwise known as Bianca Butcher in Eastenders.

Charlie will reportedly play a parody of her Eastenders character in the new programme, which is thought to have been inspired by The Office and Extras.

A source said: “Spending time working in the States is something that Charlie has wanted to do for a long time. Initially Patsy was in talks to take part but she isn’t anymore.

“She can’t wait to get stuck in. There are many more doors that she and her agent have their fingers crossed will open. She’s not putting a huge amount of pressure on herself but obviously she really hopes she can pull it off” continued the insider.

Reports say the show will also feature a second former Eastenders character, Beppe Di Marco, whom Michael Greco played from 1998 to 2002.
