Former Eastenders star Gillian Taylforth has been charged with drink driving after being arrested by police five miles from her home.
The actress, who played Kathy Beale in the soap, was with her fiancé Dave Fairbairn at the time of the incident and he was subsequently arrested for a public order offence.
Taylforth was arrested at 1.25am on Saturday morning and according to the Daily Mail, has been bailed to return to the North & East Hertfordshire Magistrates Court on February 23.
