Actress Nicola Stephenson is joining the cast of Emmerdale.
The former Brookside star will play a character named Tess, who joins the soap as a teaching assistant.
Speaking about her upcoming role, Nicola said: I’m thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale.
Tess and Paddy Kirk will become close
“It’s a British institution and I’m very excited about the storylines that they have planned for my character”.
Nicola previously played the part of Margaret Clemence in Brookside and Waterloo Road fans will recognise her as art teacher Allie Westbrook.
Tess is set to become close to long-standing character Paddy Kirk and it sounds like there may be a new romance about to start in the Dales.
