Anyone fancy a road trip?

It might seem a long way off, but the summer festival season is starting to shape up and with recent gigs by Coldplay and Robbie Williams announced for Dublin, plenty of other gigs and festivals around Europe will be finalised  in the coming weeks and months.

Music fans will always gravitate towards a festival that seems tailor made for their own interests and tastes, but with two of the biggest rock bands on the planet announced to play already, Open’er Festival in Gdynia, Poland might appeal to the majority.

What’s particularly impressive is that a four day festival camping ticket only costs €125. That’s ridiculously cheap for the standard of music that you’ll be hearing.

So far, Radiohead and Foo Fighters are the only bands to have been announced on the billing for 2016, but having been to the festival before, we’re confident in staying that there will be some excellent acts added very soon.

For example, last year’s lineup included the likes of Alt-J, Drake, Chet Faker, Major Lazer, The Prodigy, Hozier, Disclosure and Kasabian to name just a few. Keep an eye on the website to see who else will be keeping Dave Grohl and Thom Yorke company this June.

We’re certain that you might have your own festival in mind but from our experience, Open’er has good bands, cheap beer and decent weather. Maybe you can find a cheaper alternative but those two bands are always quality live and the price is exceptional.

All you need to sort out is your flights! Anyone fancy a road trip from late June to early May?
