Or, you know, you could just go meet someone yourself.
Whichever works.
Ah, Love Island.
It’s been a whole 11 months since last year’s instalment of the intense dating show kicked off and we’re still talking about it.
But why did Jack and Dani break up? Did Ellie’s parents actually find out Charlie had dumped their daughter via an Instagram Story? Is Zara ever going to go back to work as a government advisor?
Questions, they plague us. Answers, we may never receive them.
But look, it doesn’t really matter because next month there’s going to be a whole host of new islanders for us all to fawn over.
And one of them could be you.
Applications for Love Island 2019 have been open for a long while now and you bet your ass that thousands upon thousands of people have already applied to be part of the biggest show of the summer.
And although previous contestants have already confirmed that a lot of the cast are actually scouted, we’re sure that at least a few of them did actually apply directly, using a real life desktop computer or, indeed, their smart phone.
There’s hope for everyone in the villa, after all.
Producers have since issued a fresh and final call for applications as the casting process winds to a close.
According to ITV’s website, applications officially close altogether in mid-July, giving producers a chance to cast additional contestants last minute, but filming for the series is kicking off very soon so it’s understandable that they want to get a head start before show actually begins.
In order to be in with a chance to be on Love Island, you’ll need to record a short video of yourself and fill in an online form.
Applications will be disqualified if any kind of filter is used, so get away from Snapchat and head back over to regular old selfie mode because there’s no hiding in the baking, hot, Majorcan sun.
